The Sparkle Box Project
In the book “The Sparkle Box” by Jill Hardie, young Sam and his family celebrate Jesus’s birthday by doing good deeds for others during the Christmas season. Each good deed is noted on a slip of paper and stored in a “sparkle box.” On Christmas morning the sparkle box is opened as an offering to Jesus.
**During December our Children’s Church kids will have weekly projects that we will note and add to our class sparkle box.
***Children will bring home their own Sparkle Box to collect notes of deeds you and your family may be doing for others during this Advent season.
****Additionally, this year children who will be in Boone on Christmas day are asked to bring their Sparkle Boxes to offer their “gifts” during the worship service.
*We will also be collecting a Sparkle Box offering at Children’s Church in December. Our goal is to collect $25.00 to buy chickens for widows in Haiti.
