2026 Lenten Mission Project
About the Project:
This Lenten Season we are supporting Love Justice International, a Christian non-profit that combats human trafficking by intercepting potential victims and traffickers before they reach their destination. We welcomed Rev. Andy Ramirez on Sunday, February 22nd to present on their work. If you missed the presentation, you may watch it below.
One of the Love Justice videos included in the presentation is also linked here, as the audio did not come through on our livestream of the program.

Our Project and Goal:
Our mission project supports the Kambia transit monitoring station in northwest Sierra Leone, Africa for the next year. Our goal is to collect $26,000 to support this work – intercepting 232 lives from being exploited into slave labor or prostitution.

If you would like to donate to this mission, you may do so online or you can contribute in worship during our the offertory time by placing your gift or check (earmarked “Lenten mission”) in the basket up front.
Become More Aware During Lent:
Many of you received a prayer bracelet along with the name, age, and country of an intercepted victim through the work of Love Justice. We encourage you to pray for the person you adopted and their family during Lent. While saved from slavery, they often return to poverty. We also encourage you to engage in the materials being sent out on Mondays providing opportunities to learn more about this ministry and to raise awareness about this global problem.
Our Reach Wednesday small groups are also working through a curriculum entitled, Loving Justice. There are multiple ways to engage this Lent – please take the time to learn and pray for this ministry.
