Holy God, you reign sovereign and supreme; you alone are Lord over all. We confess that too often we forget this truth, as we get sidetracked by the events in our nation and around the world. We can doubt your presence, much less your power and control, in the midst of the day to day struggles. Lord, forgive our short sightedness and help us to remember that no one and no thing can overthrow your will or reign. Help us to find rest and reassurance in your perfect plan and help us to live within your will as we seek to be your people together. For we offer our prayer to you in the strong name of Jesus Christ our Lord and our Savior. Amen.
