Guidelines for Church Gatherings
Beginning Monday, March 7, and in conjunction with the Town of Boone’s decision to lift the mask mandate, First Presbyterian will allow masks to be optional within the building for worship and programs.
The Session still wants the church to be responsible affirming: “We strongly encourage that masks be worn by those who are at risk for severe disease which includes the unvaccinated, people over the age of 75, or those that have health conditions that place them at increased risk. Masks are also encouraged for anyone who prefers to wear one or those that wish to take this extra step to protect those around them.”
We are grateful to see things moving in the right direction and hopeful that they will remain this way, however the Session also stated, “FPC reserves the right to reinstate the mandate as warranted.”
